Arnold Edward’s EDWARD Ancestors

Peter Stewart EDWARD

He was a compositor, but according to my aunts, his brothers and sisters decided to become farmers in Canada, and he went out with them. He soon discovered that farming didn’t suit him, so shortly after his marriage he returned to Scotland and settled in Glasgow. The rest of the family stayed in Canada, and I have seen a press cutting to commemorate the 100th birthday of one of his brothers.

James EDWARD

He was a tailor. By the time of his death he had 9 children, and his widow was left struggling to make ends meet.

James EDWARD

He was a tailor. I discovered his second marriage after finding him in Montrose in the 1881 census with a new family, the youngest of whom was only 1 year old.

James EDWARD

I don’t know much about him, other than that he was a weaver
